DESCRIPTION

ABSTRACT:

Set in March 2022 at Noor Business School (NBS) in Karachi, this case follows the newly appointed dean, Dr Shan Ali, as he develops a strategic plan amid competing pressures from key stakeholders. Trustees demand rapid growth, cost containment, and improved financial sustainability, while faculty insist on better research support, improved facilities, and rationalised teaching loads. Students and alumni call for modernised curricula, stronger career services, and deeper industry relevance. With limited resources and signs of stagnating graduate enrolment, the dean must prioritise initiatives, secure buy-in, and design an execution approach that aligns with the school’s mission and accreditation expectations..
