ABSTRACT:
In July 2023, three graduates from Pakistan’s leading business school revisited a venture idea—Property Pulse, a professional real-estate inspection service aimed at reducing disputes and hidden defects in the rental market. Based on their own experiences and early interviews with homeowners and rent seekers, the founders explored two possible customer segments—landlords seeking to protect asset value and reduce repair costs, and tenants seeking reliable information before signing leases. As they considered where to launch, how to price, and how to sequence market entry, they also worried about the potential response of dominant incumbents and whether they had validated the opportunity sufficiently to justify leaving stable jobs.
