DESCRIPTION:

The rotational molding process is able to produce a very wide variety of hollow plastic products, ranging from children's squeezy dolls to large storage containers. It is also known as rotamolding, rotacasting and ratational casting. The equipment used for rotational molding is often large and appears complex. But the basic principles of rotational molding are quite straightforward. At the heart of the process cycle for rotational molding is a sequence of four events called loading, heating, cooling, and then unloading. The length of a cycle may vary from fifteen minutes for a relatively thin walled product to an hour for a large thick walled product. The process uses heat, and the mold is rotated about its two axes.
