As Atif did his analysis, he realized that he had not considered fuel economy. He planned to use his car extensively for frequent consulting and personal visits to various parts of Punjab, besides routine usage like pick and drop of his five children to school (45 km daily). Although he was living in the on-campus faculty residence, he calculated that despite the limited distance, the monthly usage of his car was expected to be around 2,500 km per month.
