The note, “Leading Change,” is written as a background class note to be handed out to students as an assigned reading to supplement teaching cases focusing on leading and managing change. The intention is to help students gain familiarity with selected frameworks of organisational change management that they could use while analysing cases related to change management. The note summarises the descriptions and prescriptions about leading organisational change based on a review of the literature on change management while describing in detail two widely used models of leading organisational change. In addition, to keep the discussion of these models relevant to Pakistani organisational context, several examples of Pakistani organisations have been described that have launched various organisational change initiatives.
