LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
The case can serve a number of learning goas. First, it can be used to familiarize the students with the concept of and process of career management. Second, it can assist in examining the effect of (in)congruency between organizational career plans and individual caeer goals upon the human resources. Third, the case can also be a useful vehicle for understanding and evaluating the components of a HR system. Last but not least, the case can also serve as the basis for recommending changes in those organization practices which had worked too long under a different system.
