DESCRIPTION:
The case illustrates an example of a relationship between academia and industry in a developing country for the purpose of developing a new product named "Ecopac." The challenges of forming such a relationship and how they are addressed are described. The case then goes on to look at how the relationship is formalised through a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and the challenges and complexities that this MOU poses. The discussion is then taken further to understand if such a case could be generalised to suggest possible policy interventions.
