A lot of NGOs start their operations without giving much consideration to financial reporting and funds generation management for future sustainability. This case is written with the basic objective of analyzing Decent Welfare Society¿s (DWS) management of resources including zakat and donations. It was obvious that the initial funding was provided by the Bashir family and as of date the family had not backed down from its support for DWS. However the question at hand for Dr Ijaz Bashir was to make the operations financially viable so as to ensure that DWS could finance its core competency of cleft lip and palate operations which were clearly expensive tasks. After discussions with his team, Dr Ijaz was considering his options for holding free medical camps.

A careful study of DWS operations reveals many options that DWS can pursue for raising funds from both internal and external activities.
