This case deals with HJM's financial difficulties. HJM had accumulated a debt of over Rs 70 million, and its creditors, a consortium of financial institutions had shed the company. The case deals with financial forecasting and debt restructuring.


LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

This case can be taught in a first year MBA course in Quantitative Methods. It will be best utilised if taught after having introduced LP and simple modelling. The case will test the students abilit to develop slightly advanced models as well as run a software package.
